Environmental Engineer
South Chicago area

Work as an Environmental Engineer in a Global Chemical Manufacturing Company. Provide site support in the area of environmental permitting, incident investigation including root cause analysis, spill prevention plans, pollution prevention, auditing, environmental training and etc. There will be substantial interaction with outside consultants and regulatory officials.

The Environmental Engineer will support plant operations on:
 Compliance auditing
 Environmental permitting
 Development of short and long term environmental strategies
 Pollution prevention and reduction
 Development and coordination of improvement activities in relation to environmental issues
 Training of plant staff

Qualification Requirements:
 B.S. Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineer, Chemist or equivalent
 5+ years experience in or related to the Chemical Industry.
 MUST HAVE WORKED TO SUPPORT A CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING FACILITY either as a direct employee or on-site contractor/consultant who has ‘solved problems’.
 Knowledge of Federal and State regulations relative to air, water and solid wastes (
 Experience providing solutions and making recommendations to the plant management team in addition to compliance expertise or auditing experience.

(For the position above, the salary will limit experience level:
Base salary will be +/- $70K plus there will an annual variable bonus)
