Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for working with plant management to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related discipline
Five or more years of experience leading EHS programs in a manufacturing setting
Experience in permitting for all media
Experience managing Worker’s Compensation
Demonstrated success establishing an ergonomics program
Additional Preferred Education / Experience:
Any of the following, or similarly regarded, certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Major Responsibilities:
Develops, directs and delivers HASP training
Ensures compliance with all state, federal and local governmental EHS regulations
Manages ongoing EHS programs
Develops, directs and delivers all IH, FPP and Ergonomic programs
Works with HRM in the administration of Worker’s Compensation and Early Return to Work Program
