Each year on September 11, the Pepperdine community comes together and places nearly 3,000 flags on the front lawn of main campus. Each flag represents a life that was lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Faculty, staff, and students come together and spend nearly 2 weeks preparing the lawn. Once in place, the flags serve as a beautiful reminder to never forget that day, and to always be thankful for the great country we live in.
